Calumet Country Club, a classic Donald Ross designed golf course nestled in recently annexed Hazel Crest, Illinois, has stood as a proud part of the Homewood community for 124 years. Once a private course, it is now open to the public, giving everyday golfers the rare opportunity to walk the same fairways where legends played—including Byron Nelson, who captured his record-setting 7th consecutive victory here during his unmatched 11-win streak.
This course is more than just grass, greens, lovely landscape and nature – it’s a living piece of golf history, an environmental sanctuary, and a recreational treasure for the southern suburbs of Chicago.
Yet, despite its legacy and ongoing contributions to the community, Calumet Country Club is in danger. The current owner, Diversified Partners, plans to bulldoze the course to build a logistics hub.
We believe this land can serve a greater purpose – preserving green space, protecting local ecosystems, and continuing to welcome golfers from all walks of life for generations to come. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Let’s protect Calumet Country Club – for history, for nature, for community.

LETS SAVE THIS LEGENDARY COURSE.
